How does this site work?

In the menu you will see two buttons, "Huacaya" and "Suri".
Selecting either of these will take you to the list of machos available for the type you selected. The lists are organised by colour and then alphabetically.
If you wish you can preview a picture of a particular macho or you can go direct to the summary page for a male by clicking on his name (if he is available).

Summary of a Macho.

The summary page includes a picture, registered details, number of progeny (first generation), number of descendants (all generations) and owner's description of the macho.
The table that follows summarizes the known show results (fleece and animal) relating to this macho. The first line is his own results. The second line carries the results where his progeny have been shown in "Sire's Progeny" classes. The third line is a tabulation of the show results of the macho's progeny.
Following the show results table is the contact information relating to the macho.

Getting the book of a Macho.

If you desire you can then elect to download "The Book" on this macho. The books are generated in format. You will need Acrobat Reader software, available free of charge from Adobe, by clicking on the logo below, to be able to read and or print the information in the books.

Enter your name and email address and the book will be created and downloaded to you.

What is in the book of a Macho?

The book is currently divided into five sections.
Section 1 contains the same information as the summary page except that after the show results there is a table setting out the results of fleece tests taken on the macho.
Section 2 displays a four generation pedigree tree for the macho.
Section 3 lists the known show results for the macho and includes information about where and when the show was held, who the judge was, whether it was an animal or fleece class, age and colour category for the class and the place awarded.
Section 4 lists all known descendants of the macho along with detailed show results for any first generation progeny.
Section 5 provides servicing information such as cost, special conditions, location of the macho, Johnes status and owner details.

We already have enhancement plans in place for the books which will include a colour table for the progeny (plotted against the mother) and breaking down the progeny numbers by Males, Females, Wethers and Certified Males.
